ROTARY is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide, who provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

Every year the Rotary Foundation provides approximately 90 million dollars for international scholarships, cultural exchanges, and humanitarian projects large and small that improve the quality of life for millions of people.

Each week, in virtually every nation in the world, some 1.2 million service-minded men and women belonging to more than 28,000 Rotary clubs meet for fellowship and interesting and informative programs of local and global importance.

Members are chosen to represent the businesses and professions in the community where the club is located. Through this "Classification Principle", Rotary Clubs become cross-sections of their communities.
